Joaquín Goyache, Rector of the Complutense University of Madrid, has confirmed his intervention in the Opening Ceremony at the Cibeles Palace, on Sunday 7th of July, 7:00 pm.
The Rector is the main academic authority of the University: they officially represent, govern and manage the institution, carrying out the course of action approved by the corresponding governing bodies and executing their agreements.
Professor of Animal Health, specialising in teaching in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology. He is a member of numerous committees and commissions, including that of the European Association of Establishments for Veterinary Education (EAEVE) and the person in charge of preparing the White Paper on the Degree in Veterinary Medicine. His most recent research focuses on communicable diseases in wild and exotic animals and the study of the use of designer vaccines.
He has developed different tasks of university management: Vice-Dean of Students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine UCM; Dean of the same Faculty; Director of the Summer Courses of the UCM, Vice-rector of Organization UCM and Vice-rector of Postgraduate and Continuing Education UCM.
